KHIO 2023, April
About childhood memories in spaces.
In my case, a choose one from my grandmother's kitchen when I realised all people are vulnerable, and when I realised she was going to die by her cancer.
Showed as an installation and time slots as performance, with me, Vega, standing in a void/space of thought of a blurry time.
This project was my own, yet not really my own. With a good collaboration with a classmate, Ida Ingels, who also worked with memory as a theme. We decided to be economical with the use of space and materials. In her project, we used the same material and had shows the same week. But to make that possible, we needed to design the room to make it into some other space, like a LEGO set, where we could rearrange the room to make it more dynamic.
Att nysta, meaning "to wind a thread", is a great metaphor for unwinding a memory.
... And to weave new ones.
