I am Vega Josefine Drake Carlsson, an interdisciplinary scenographer and designer working with scenography, costume, material, voice, and space.
Born in Stockholm and based in Oslo, my practice moves between theatre, puppetry, visual art, and design. I hold degrees in Interior Architecture and Furniture Design and in Theatre (Scenography) from the Oslo National Academy of the Arts.
Material is my primary language — as memory, resistance, play, and body.
I work with visual dramaturgy and sensory experience, navigating between minimalism and maximalism, restraint and excess. Sustainability is a method, not a limit: a way of listening to what already exists.
I create spaces that hold narratives rather than illustrate them.
